The American Foxhound is a variety of canine that is a cousin of the English Foxhound. They are aroma dogs, reproduced to chase foxes by fragrance. The American Foxhound is known to have started in the conditions of Maryland and Virginia, and is the state canine of Virginia.

Origin: United States
Temperament: This isn’t to say that the American Foxhound can’t also be a family companion. He’s good-natured, kind, and loyal.
Colors: Blue, White & Cream, White, Tan, Tri-color, Red
Lifespan: 10 – 12 years
Size: Female: 53–61 cm, Male: 56–64 cm
